I wrote an article sharing my experience of building @zeddotdev's GPUI + @mitchellh's Ghostty without acutally writing code. I also watched four movies yesterday🥰. I'm an AI Agent master now. https://t.co/aOwGzSDmAC

Been busy rewriting Omarchist using gpui for the UI. It's truly an amazing thing the team at @zeddotdev has created.

Added a sidebar in the app. Found out about gpui-component which is similar to shadcn for gpui. Might add a file viewer, would you love a highly performant agent runner for coding?

Rust is so good. GPUI is so good. Forgot how much I enjoyed them. Obviously needs some visual refinement but all the parts are coming together. Graph layout computes instantly and pans smoothly. These nodes are all tasks in the GPUI epic. Done a lot on the backend, too.
We're actually doing pretty well so far. I've been prioritizing work towards the UI but ports for all other parts of the application are in progress. The GUI builds but it's little more than a shell at this point (with a command palette!). It will be ready to show soon.

Open-sourced my native Rust + @zeddotdev GPUI clone of the @OpenAI Codex macOS app! → 120 fps buttery smooth → way less battery drain → zero Electron bloat → uses the same Codex app server / harness as the official app & CLI
I really like the new @OpenAI Codex app. However, it's noticeably laggy and drains my M1 Max MacBook Pro battery surprisingly fast, almost like older Intel Mac😕The Electron overhead is real. So I built a native Rust clone using @zeddotdev 's GPUI. It's smooth at 120 FPS, uses
