Interesting participatory project.. matching disparate parts of a city (in this case, Chicago). Imagine this done in Glasgow.. where health and mortality disparities between West End and East End are most noticed. Folded Map for The Glasgow Effect..?

An interesting walking and listening project from @NONopera references @tonikagj 's #FoldedMapProject in mirroring neighborhoods from north to south and east to west, to ask: How does economic investment or de-investment affect the sound of a neighborhood? #OHC2020

If you liked that @nytimes photojournalism project on Chicago, check out https://t.co/HlS7xoEPOJ - The Folded Map project by @tonikagj - It's not only better, it also originated the concept that another person is now taking credit for. I wish @nytimes still had a Public Editor.

I hope @nytimes really don’t think they came up with this first but regardless, them not checking or researching for similar stories/documentary photography covered in Chicago is POOR JOURNALISM!!!

Alec Soth following the lead of photographer Tonika Johnson’s (@tonikagj) Folded Map Project and David Ansell’s book The Death Gap. A shame these precedents aren’t acknowledged but here they are: https://t.co/BIMSBFUNkb;

The Streeterville and Englewood neighborhoods of Chicago have a life expectancy gap of roughly 30 years. Photographer Alec Soth captured the contrast in a photo essay for our series on "The America We Need."

Neighbors from the North and South sides of Chicago are teaming up to take on the city's deeply rooted issues. The differences between their communities may be stark. But @AdrianaDiaz shows us how, together, they're tackling segregation and the inequity that comes with it.
