A farrashia is an outer layer of clothing worn in Libya. I used to play inside my jdaida's (grandmother) when she went to the souk & she would always yell at me to stop but said it with a laugh. There has never been a farrashia in a children's picture book. #KidLit #AmWriting

Farrashia is traditional attire Libyans wear outside the house. It is a one-piece costume mostly made of silk. Someday kids will walk into a children's library section & there will be people wearing farrashias in books. Someday.... #amquerying #LibyanKidLit #KidLit
