Foundation have been exploring what happens to skittles when they are put into different liquids. 🤔😮I heard great discussions and reasoning! They have been working on their oracy skills of listening to their partner talk and taking turns in their conversation too! #eyfsscience

Owls have enjoyed learning about static electricity ⚡️ We used different types of paper to make butterflies and then created static with balloons to make their wings move 👏🏼 #primaryscience #eyfsscience @ogden_eyfs

Great excitement in RB this morning investigating different materials to build a house for the pigs. We then tested which was the strongest using 'The Big Bad Wolf'. The children then used this knowledge to explore construction materials in their play #eyfsscience #

Engineering at its finest. The children built their ramp, tested it, reviewed it, developed it and then challenged themselves to see how far the egg travelled. Lovely to see such hard work and determination especially when the egg kept getting stuck!#eyfsscience #teamwork

EYFS Minibeasts❤ Understanding the World 🌍 Objective - To bring the outside into the classroom! We used soil, bark, leaves and wood from the outside then placed plastic minibeasts, themed books and discussion name labels. The kids loved the exploration 🔎 #eyfs #eyfsscience

Reception children have been trying to save the penguins from the frozen ball by investigating how ice melts. Lots of great teamwork and scientific language being used. #eyfs #eyfsscience
