I told @PAudurier it would be difficult to train a macaque to discriminate symmetrical vs. non-symmetrical wallpaper stimuli in < 3 months. She proved me wrong in 4 experiments #ECVP2024. Macaques accurately identify symmetry (corroborated by reaction times & pupillometry).

I will soon be hiring a postdoc for 38 months to work on neural correlates of visual attention deficits post stroke part of the MRC-NIHR funded SIGHT trial! If you are at #ECVP2024 and want to find out more please reach out :)

How do we perceive the achromatic (grayscale) color of objects in our environment? In our #ECVP2024 demo, we showed how slight variations in local and global surface properties, change our perception of two identical gray targets tremendously. Thanks to everyone who stopped by!
