@LogosIsBond There's an official entirely snake oil DRM implementation called ClearKey for people to use who don't have Widevine licenses. The purpose seems to simply be increasing legal penalties against people because of laws disallowing breaking DRM.

@bkastl @foobartel @m_ott @webrocker If your video uses a DRM mechanism (and therefore a Content Decryption Module - CDM) this feature is basically a part of it by providing a matching manifest. Note: This should also work with ClearKey, which is kind of an open DRM implementation that's not as evil as others.

Even knowing how to transmuxing videos, you'll get stuck when going into DRM. (Unless you want to use ClearKey DRM, which isn't actually a DRM.)
