Earlier this month,we followed up on 742 coconut seedlings in Takaungu, Kilifi many showing 100% survival. Despite challenges,local farmers(led by women & youth) are using sustainable methods to restore their land. #COSMEProject #TimizaYouthInitiative

In Takaungu, Kilifi County,@Timiza_CC joined @KilifiCountyGov,Delta Group (KeNHA) & @SemaNamimama1 for a Chief’s Baraza to raise GBV awareness. We reached 107 people,formed a community-led GBV committee,and strengthened #COSMEProject supported by @planinternatio2. #EndGBV

Under the visionary leadership of @PlanKenya the #COSMEproject— funded by Global Affairs Canada—planted an astounding 10,000 mangrove seedlings! These precious seedlings were sourced directly from community-owned tree seedbeds, fostering local economic growth and sustainability.

Trained champions are now cascading vital skills to 12 conservation groups in Takaungu- covering seedling planting,land prep & monitoring.Part of the #COSMEProject with @planinternatio2& @JaneGoodallInst,funded by @GAC_Corporate,this boosts local ownership&climate resilience.
