This is "The Boatyard" by John Cooper from 1935. I'd love to know where it might have been painted but, to date, all efforts to locate the spot have evaded me. At the time, Cooper was painting in Lyme Regis & Charmouth so I think that it must be along the Dorset coast.

It was great to visit Boatyard Boulders, a "real rock" bouldering centre in Nottingham. I'm pleased that it's expanding its facilities to include a youth club and increase its offerings to local schools.
