Opus 4.5 refactored my crypto utils that use github(.)com/jamesruan/sodium to use golang(.)org/x/crypto for: - XChaCha20-Poly1305 - X25519 - Blake2b This drops our dependency on the jedisct1/libsodium C bindings. All tests are ✅ No more CGO 🎉 We can now cross-compile the

Technical Alpha: Proving Bitcoin's SHA256 in ZK is computationally heavy. Proving Zcash's BLAKE2b in Starkware's Stwo prover? It's natively efficient. The cryptography aligns perfectly.

Kaspa warriors, we’re suiting up for the quantum war! 🥷 While enemies prepare quantum cannons, we’re forging invisible armor. New P2PKH-Blake2b shields will cloak our keys in shadow until battle begins. No retreat. No surrender. No hard forks needed. When Shor’s algorithm
Kaspa Quantum-Resistant Wallet Upgrade A developer has published a proposal on GitHub introducing a wallet-layer address upgrade for $KAS designed to improve the network’s resilience against future quantum computing threats. The upgrade would transition from the current P2PK

A commit set for tomorrow night will convert the remaining crypto from Blake2b to blake3 and update Viat wallets with further integration of SPHINCS+ & SHAKE256. It’ll be another long list of file changes will summarize after it’s out.

3/ Why Blake2b for Reef? Reef relies on secure & efficient cryptographic functions for diverse tasks, including data integrity verification, consensus, & blockchain security. Blake2b was selected for a multitude of reasons:

im schizo enough to be writing my own boot chain: UEFI → GRUB → initramfs → single password prompt → BLAKE2b routing → LSB-extract LUKS header from JPEGs → argon2id KDF → decrypt + mount real root OR boot decoy. wrong password = plausible deniability. forensics literally

Tried my best to get an answer from Rollbit. 'I'll speak to a colleague' was the final answer to my question, if they admit their algo. Tried it several times. They really say, that their provided code prooves fairness because of the Blake2b algo. Worthless without any audit 😅
@CL207 @0xtuba tested their algo when markets were closed. pretend to open a 185.000$ doge position with 1000x. When I slide leverage down, they move their 'wall' up. But when I quickly slide up and pretend clicking the button, it's instantly ready to squeeze me.

The technical architecture of #Ratschain will adopt the omnichain architecture of @MAPProtocol, integrating more than 7 different signature and hash algorithms, such as SHA3/SHA-256/ed25519/secp256k1/keccak-256/sr25519/blake2b. It is a Layer 2 network that is fully interoperable

If we could go back to 2009 when Bitcoin was being designed, I would have chosen Blake2b instead of SHA256 It is specifically designed to be ‘easy’ for hardware to calculate Same energy, 25% more hashes

@hudsonjameson I know you're going off memory here, but EIP-152 was a political design-by-committee issue, not a feature issue. It was blocked by specific people until demands were met, and the main demand made it useless. It doesn't even support Blake2b! One of the biggest ACD fuckups 😮💨
