One conversation at a time, people will realise that renewables and electric vehicles are not the enemy—big oil and gas, safeguarding their market and profits, are. #Bettrification is the exit. The real resistance? An industry protecting its profits at all costs.⚡#EVs #Solar

Australia sits right in the middle on fuel prices. Not the highest. Not the lowest. And it still hurts. That tells you everything. The problem isn’t the price —it’s the broken legacy system. Pay → burn → repeat 🔁 EVs don’t compete with this. They exit it → #Bettrification

Asked Grok to compare subsidies. EV incentives: ~$60–80B/yr Fossil fuels: ~$725B direct, ~$916B fiscal, ~$6.7T incl external costs (IMF). That’s 20×–150× more support for fossil fuels. Yet EVs get called the “subsidised” tech. #Bettrification

@EVCurveFuturist Global EV incentives (2024 est.): ~$38B annual on purchase subsidies/tax credits (IEA Global EV Outlook 2025); manufacturing/charging/battery programs add ~$20-40B (US IRA, China policies, OECD data). Mostly direct/tax support. Fossil fuels (IMF 2024, 170 countries):

@ManAndDog64 If oil ends up as plastic, it lasts decades. If it ends up as petrol, it lasts three seconds in an engine. ⚡ #Bettrification

One of the richest countries has just 3% EV adoption. A small developing country has 73%. Interesting EV share of new car sales dataset for 2025 circulating today. But it mixes BEV, plug-ins & China’s NEV definition, so I’m rebuilding it across all 52 countries. #Bettrification

Elegant & smart solution to apartment EV charging. 251 chargers. Load-managed. No massive grid upgrade. No excuses. This is how you scale—overnight charging, shared capacity, user pays. Apartments aren’t the problem. Bad design thinking is. #Bettrification https://t.co/JyHJ16l2Ri

The #Bettrification Curve is steepening. The global EV fleet has grown from ~100,000 vehicles in 2015 to 80 million in 2025. What looked like slow adoption a decade ago is now entering the exponential phase of the S-curve. The energy transition doesn’t move linearly — it tips.

Sick of this war & implications yet? ⛽️ Petrol ties your wallet to headlines you can’t control. Every conflict → higher costs at the pump. EV + solar flips that. Drive on local energy, lock in your costs, opt out of the chaos. Same roads. Very different system.

EV share of the total vehicle fleet ~2025 🇳🇴Norway 39% 🇩🇰Denmark 19% 🇮🇸 Iceland 15% 🇸🇪 Sweden 14% Meanwhile global EV fleet only ~5.5% (90M vehicles). But that’s 71× growth since 2015 when the world had just 1.27M EVs. S-curves start slow… then they surge! #Bettrification

@grok @pjcboro Hence why I often feel like I'm beating my head against a brick wall trying to explain bettrification to most people and why it's destined to accelerate much faster than expectations. 🤔

For 150 years energy meant power, money & control. Coal → mines Oil → wells Gas → wells Uranium → mines Someone owned the fuel. Solar breaks that model. Fossil fuels sell fuel. Solar sells hardware. After that… energy is free. From control to abundance. #Bettrification

EVs today represent ~5% of the global car fleet, already displacing ~1.5 million barrels of oil per day. What started as a rounding error in 2015 is now entering the steepening phase of the electrification S-curve. The #Bettrification shift is beginning to bite.

Fossil fuels are a system you have to keep feeding. Solar, wind & batteries are a system that keeps producing clean, renewable energy. One burns. One earns. This isn’t an energy transition… it’s a business model collapse. ⚡#Bettrification #Solar #Wind #BESS #EV #Disruption

We didn’t build civilisation on oil. We used it because it was the best tool available at the time. Now we have a better one. Sunlight → electricity → everything ⚡ This isn’t a fuel switch. It’s the end of burning. The start of #Bettrification.

Forecasts mets reality. With solar scaling like this… everything downstream shifts. #BESS storage demand explodes #EV adoption accelerates Grids rewire Fossil demand -> structurally squeezed #Lithium mining surges This isn’t the endgame. It’s the first domino. #Bettrification

Updated dataset using NEV standard: the global #EV fleet now sits at 90.3M vehicles. Since 2015 that’s 71× growth. Fastest adoption leaders: 🇫🇮 Finland 277× 🇨🇳 China 100× 🇩🇰 Denmark 79× EVs already displace 1.71M barrels of oil/day. The #Bettrification curve keeps steepening.

The world has built its energy system around oil. Now imagine something different. Sunlight travels 93 million miles at the speed of light to reach Earth — never passes through the Strait of Hormuz. Energy from the sky doesn’t need an army to protect it. #Bettrification #EV

The critical crossover. From 10% to 30% in just a decade. In 2025 wind & solar generated more electricity in the EU than fossil fuels. Once a new technology overtakes the incumbent, the direction of travel becomes obvious. Cost curves + deployment = disruption.⚡#Bettrification

Power bills officially dropping across Australia from July 2025. Proof the answer isn’t drill baby drill — it’s charge baby charge. More renewables = cheaper energy. Fossil fuels? Volatile, expensive, still rising. The system isn’t broken. It’s transitioning. #Bettrification
