On a final push to tie up loose ends and fix bugs in #AtariSTE FASTER before submission to the Silly Venture 2024 WE demoparty in December. On the left, my trusty STE with Gotek and cheapo USB speaker. On the right, my equally trusty Macbook used to develop the game. 🚗🏎️

I've just submitted FASTER for #AtariSTE to the Silly Venture 2024 WE demoparty from 5th-8th December in Poland. Wish me luck! (even if I end up being the only entry in the ST/STE game category... 😄) The game will be available as a free download from 9th December onwards.

A number of people have asked me if #AtariSTE FASTER will also be compatible with the Atari Falcon. Well, like 99.9999999% of the population, I don't own physical Falcon hardware. But if the Hatari emulator is anything to go by, things aren't looking very promising. 😆

Do not fear, FASTER for #AtariSTE is still very much alive and kicking! Just waiting for a few audio assets to come in before I build the final version to submit to Silly Venture 2024 WE on 5th - 8th December. Binary release and source code will follow after the compo. 🚗🏎️

#AtariSTE platform engine update: Added some enemy sprites (up to 32x64) to the Leander demo and reduced raster step from 10 to 5 scanlines, giving even more colours. I think this is about as far as I can go in this iteration without dropping MOD playback.
