🌘🔭👀 #astrophotography THE DAY AFTER, take a moment to look at your final astroimage and enjoy it. NO MATTER how it turned out, it is something that you have uniquely created. REMEMBER that you are capturing the photons that left a galaxy millions of years ago. Remember that

Astroimage of part of the Veil Supernova complex in Cygnus (NGC6992). 75min exposure with a 10" Quattro Newtonian at F/4 using a ZWO ASI2600MC Pro cooled Cmos camera from my backyard.

Back to astroimage processing after 10 months. I have forgotten so much. I wish I had documented my processes better. I am making rookie mistakes. #HelixNebula

Sometimes an astroimage appears that shows a familiar region in a new way. Such is the case with Richard Whitehead’s incredibly deep shot of the Lagoon and Trifid nebulae region. Mindblowing!!

Chris Schur’s latest astroimage depicts a little-studied region near the double star Albireo in Cygnus. The central, amorphous glow is Sharpless 2–89, and the nebula above it is Sharpless 2–90. An unusual field of star formation!

Here’s a cool astroimage you don’t get to see often: Dylan Short imaged Mars with the 24-inch Clark refractor at Lowell Observatory; Percival Lowell’s historic telescope. Enjoy!

Chris Schur’s latest astroimage depicts one of the northernmost bright emission nebulae in the sky. Cederblad 214 is the bright reddish knot of nebulosity at center, and a small open cluster, Berkeley 59, is also involved with it. Fainter gas belongs to the nebula NGC 7822.

Nice job, Spencer—you always remember your first astroimage! Spencer (@spencerjm113) broke in his brand new Celestron NexStar 8SE and smartphone adapter to capture the Moon on a calm night. #celestron #celestronuniverse #celestrontelescopes #celestronrocks
