Today in 1968-during the "Space Race"-#NASA launched the first successful crewed Apollo mission. #Apollo7 was a return to human spaceflight for America, 20 months after the #Apollo1 fire. On-board for the 11-day flight were astronauts Wally Schirra, Donn Eisele & Walt Cunningham.
