Science & Engineering students routinely use “software tools” in their studies from Matlab to AutoCAD. This well established practice provides an ideal foundation to incorporate “AI tutor tools”. Embedding such learning requires shift in mind set from TOOLS to COLLABORATORS.
AI-powered study assistants are “going to have a role, whether we like it or not”, as technology giants target higher education, and academics should consider how best to support students to use them or risk “being led by neophilia”, reports @JulietteRowsell.

Congratulations @Cambridge_Uni @UniOfM. The city-to-city innovation partnership is a very promising model, let’s establish more of these complementary partnerships and soon, UK universities are ready for this @ResEngland.
Cambridge and Manchester’s blueprint for innovation will build on existing assets and address real constraints to deliver results quickly, say Deborah Prentice and Duncan Ivison.
