some lessons:.1) building in public is scary and liberating at the same time. 2) be impervious to the scariest part of creating: the void of public apathy. 3) find your edge: the thing that keeps you going. for me, it might be these music shorts. or the energy boost i get from.

the @changwu_tw / @imTokenOfficial cold open was hella fun to create and again gave me a chance to do some music-matching experimentation with the B-rolls. i just wish i had the foresight to have more footage because the music begged for more!!!.

moving onto taipei now, the @replghost cold open for the @polkadot interview gave me a chance to play around w/ splicing in soundbites (blended with sound effects) for the first time. definitely something i need to do more of!.

still in bangkok, my good pal & public fan #2 @adamshurwitz & @safe maxi pushed me further in experimenting w/ zooms & angles & transitions & jittery cuts to the beat!. i love producing these even if it's short cuz it pairs my love of music w/ new love of editing!.

this practice ostensibly started with my bangkok floating market interview with my partner back in jan. it was my:.1. 1st time ever shooting in public.2. 1st time ever doing a cold open w/ music. it kickstarted something magical (even if its amateur)!.

ofcourse, it takes good talent to give me so much B-rolls to work with! @tsu_kareta was insanely fun to shoot. future talents-to-be: take note! . it also helps to have an S-tier spawn point, since we were on the tokyo aqua line — a marvel of engineering.

i have a confession to make. as a crypto video guy now. i've an obsession w/ using music videos to open or intersperse. my job was alrdy fun AF b4 but music interludes make the process 100x more creative. this is from my upcoming feature w/ @RAILGUN_Project & @tsu_kareta
