There’s supposedly more than 1000 extra weekly train services on the Sunbury, Cranbourne and Pakenham lines - judging by the core frequencies it does look like the branch lines and out to Sunbury will get minimum 20 minute frequencies all day compared to 30-60 minutes today!

We still don’t know what interpeak frequencies look like, or what will happen with night network services 🌙 But it looks like for the most part Cranbourne shuttles will become a thing of the past ✅ There are a number of further network wide timetable changes planned for 2026.
