OH. This depressing hc became canon. 😭 Basically the original didn’t use speech-marks around “Kosei” (always used when talking about quirks), so the implication is that Izuku never believed he had actual individuality/personality. Jp fandom are in shock.

Maybe it’s too soon to say, but I don’t think All Might intends to die in a big, final sacrifice to buy the heroes time. He would die for the sake of others, but he also fights to live for those who are inspired by him being alive and to see the heights his students will reach.

Mentors and teachers aren’t quite the same, but they all contribute to Deku’s education and wellbeing in their own way. Endeavor and Gran Torino were instrumental in helping Deku to actually use OFA. All Might offered physical training, lessons in heroism, and emotional support.
