We commend the Government of New Brunswick for being the first province to provide free radon testing kits to New Brunswickers. Radon exposure is the second leading cause of lung cancer. If more Canadians reduce high radon levels at home, we could prevent up to 3,600 cancer cases
It is now easier for New Brunswickers to test their homes for radon gas. Starting today, you can visit your local library to get a free kit that includes a 90-day test and other important information about radon gas. https://t.co/fc9J8XSJGz

We are so pleased to have been a part of yesterday's announcement for NB’s new path forward in healthcare and outcomes. We applaud the investments in equitable, timely access to screening and surgery for all New Brunswickers. Early detection saves lives—and lowers costs for
Every New Brunswicker should have access to the care they need, when and where they need it. New Brunswick’s new Provincial Health Plan outlines how we will deliver on our commitments: bringing collaborative care clinics to New Brunswickers across the province; retaining and

This is fantastic! This collaborative team set a goal of increasing their #cancerscreening rates by 15% - and they achieved that goal within 5 months and are *still* going!👏Screening is vital in prevention and early detection. It saves lives.

Great things are possible when government and innovation sectors come together to create ecosystems that advance new treatment options and improve outcomes for people with cancer, not only in New Brunswick, but across the Atlantic region. Congratulations @Gov_NB

We applaud the @PCPartyNL and their commitment to modernize medical travel and make it more affordable. Patients in rural Newfoundland and Labrador face some of the steepest challenges and traveling to access care – like screening, chemotherapy, radiation, and regular oncology
A PC government will introduce a routine provincial medical air service based in Gander to get patients into care, quickly and efficiently and bring them home again after. No one should be forced to pay out of pocket for long, costly trips across the province just to access

Back to school in #AtlanticCanada doesn’t just mean books and backpacks. Youth vaping rates here are the highest in Canada. With $2.1B from Big Tobacco settlements, provinces have a chance to change the story. 🔗 https://t.co/bC7rwDiOYe

Sometimes wins for healthcare come from unexpected places. Lowering bridge & ferry fees in #PEI isn’t just about tourism or trade, it reduces barriers for people who travel for cancer care. This is why we need a health lens in every nation-building convo. https://t.co/t4eXGcDGSm

Nearly half of #AtlanticCanadians don’t know that alcohol increases #cancer risk. That’s why this new pilot matters. Clear, evidence-based labels. 84% support this type of awareness. The public is ready. Policy needs to catch up. 🔗

We don’t talk enough about what it really costs to go through cancer. This isn’t just unique to #PEI. Across #AtlanticCanada, more and more people are travelling for care, adding financial strain on patients and families already carrying so much. https://t.co/mU1V0UXk8K

Most people think our #healthcare system covers all cancer care costs, but that’s not always true. Many people with cancer face debt just to access #clinicaltrials. I spoke to @globalnews about why trials must be part of standard care. https://t.co/iEI0nDW3YL
