I am enthralled by the latest song ‘The Games’ from @MarleThomson . The melodies and vocals swirl around my mind with a gently reflective tone that inspires me. A song to soothe in difficult times.

Farewell @Alphabeat you taught me that pop is about passion. I should be sad today, but I have so many happy memories stored in my heart. I hope your futures are as joyful as the gigs I went to always were 🕺

I have only just discovered Save my Soul by @iamjojo & regret that I never heard it until now. The humanity of the lyrics & expressive vocals make listening a special experience. Jojo - we may live an ocean apart, but your song speaks to me as nothing else can. Thank you.

“In the pandemic...so many of us have discovered pockets of green right on our doorsteps.” Brilliant @JulianHoffman essay on how crucial "local green spaces are for a community’s wellbeing." What green spaces have you (re-)discovered during the pandemic? https://t.co/maFXHKYcQM

Even on the most grey of February days, a perceptive song can stop you in your tracks & make you cry out with wonder. That emotion arrived today with ‘Modern love never stood a chance’ from @LauraJansen . I am moved to both joy & tears; it is so beautiful.

Caught myself reciting the lyrics of Higher and Higher by @judietzuke today. ‘In fingers of trees and valleys of gold, I watch as you outshine the Charleston fold’. Almost 40 years on, the power of a good lyric never fades. Still a fan.

This column sums up my conflicting emotions about the fragility of IT rather elegantly. The fear & joy of matters seemingly beyond control. Hope the Friday column by @ladyhaja never ends, or at least not in these eye rolling times we live through.

A thoughtful and incisive critique by @MatthewdAncona of what will be seen as a key moment in our lives and history, One of the best audio commentaries I have heard in a long time.
This week in the Tortoise podcast @MatthewdAncona re-examines the crucial moment the PM fell ill. https://t.co/rWOkK4uPUj

A band a British audience may not be aware of, but one that is very much worth listening to. Thought provoking with melodies & lyrics you keep coming back to. Which direction will their new songs take? Find out tomorrow.
