Respectfully, hardship in the past shouldn’t justify resisting reasonable improvements today. By that reasoning, we’d be saying: “In my time, getting to school was tough, so kids today should abandon more convenient measures to access education.”
@NewsBFM Kids these days get it so easy. In my time there was no such thing as just disregarding certain dress etiquette’s coz it was hot. Prefects n students wore the school ties as a mark of respect for the badge and we were proud of our school ties. Tght discipline. I am old school🤷♀️

Been working 12 hours a day for 6 days over the past 2 weeks. Also worked 18 days straight without taking any days off. Finally hit my first 5-figure income. Hard-earned money, feeling grateful. Hoping to perform even better and more consistently next year. 🍾🎉

My view is that the our uniform is a remnant product of British colonialism. It is not suitable in our hot and humid weather A polo-T would be a much more comfortable wear.
School students will no longer be required to wear neckties starting next year, although wearing one will still be permitted if agreed upon by schools and parents. Key factors include the local hot and humid climate, which makes daily necktie wear uncomfortable for students.
