First of all at least the majority is being used to turn land in ATL into a community land trust, hopefully stewarded by folks like @guildatl who know better than me A significant portion would be used for a participatory budgeting process that all residents could participate in

Forgot to mention new season of road to repair is out! In this season we talk to practitioners (and elders like Ed) who’re building cooperative ownership structures and an alternative financing ecosystem to support co-ops. #coopsnotcops
"What [distributivite justice] misses is where did the money come from and are the ownership structures legitimate? Productive justice is about giving opportunities for us to do for ourselves." Ed Whitfield talks @seedcommons on Road to Repair 🔊 https://t.co/co7uVJktHa

I was 1 of 288 people that gave public comment to urge @atlcouncil to vote no on allocating $33.5M of public $$ to Cop City. Public comment went on for SEVEN HOURS and not a single person spoke in favor. The people don’t want Cop City, and Cop City will never be built.
