So is @SkateCanada going to boycott the Winter Olympics when the International Olympic Committee officially adopts similar rules to Alberta next month? @ABDanielleSmith deserves great credit for protecting fairness for women and girls in sport.

Women also deserve fairness and equality. Women are not “equal” to men in sport, which is why we have sex-based categories. “Fairness” means biological separation of males and females in sport. There, I educated you. You can thank me when you calm down.

I'll put it this way - a male skater can do a quad/triple and still LOSE to a female skater who only did Triples jumps because it has happened to male skaters who landed every single jump cleanly, but still lost to another male skater who fell on his ass @rafalkot

15 year-old Tara Lipinski BEAT 25 year-old Maria Butryskaya & 24 year-old Surya Bonaly (who was a weight lifter) for the Olympic Gold Medal & I would say Butryskaya & Bonaly had a far lower body fat % than Lipinski who BEAT both of them @Grumblebum6
@gtlem @FeckOffFlouncer @coachblade @SkateCanada @JmgreyGrey Because strength to weight ratio is critical for jumps & men can safely maintain far lower body-fat percentage than women. Given the problems of eating disorders in female figure skaters having them compete against people with 2-5% essential body fat is callous in the extreme.

Yes, and men have also been improving and increasing the physicality of figure skating to a level absolutely no female could hope to touch. Telling women to "just try harder" is retarded and incredibly cruel.

@coachblade @Bookish120 The fact is Female Figure Skaters could beat the Male Figure Skaters in head to head competition. We have seen this time and time throughout its history So if female skaters can beat male skaters - no one is being thrown under the bus @coachblade

@FeckOffFlouncer @coachblade @SkateCanada No matter how much training a female figure skater does - to this day - 32 years later - the jump both Ito & Harding were able to do very few woman can physically do even today Yet this is a jump men can do with ease @JmgreyGrey @FeckOffFlouncer
