I've been hosting dinner every Sunday for the last four months to help bootstrap a community called Fractal Boston. One of our first dinners attracted just four attendees. These days, we're regularly over 20 and starting to run into space constraints. (Video is from last night.)

everyone uses the chimps vs humans analogy when describing AI to me it's more like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly its gonna completely change everything about us and its gonna be unimaginably beautiful
i'm finding it increasingly difficult to participate in modern discourse to the point that i don't really know what to do or how to talk to people over the past few years, i've seen the capabilities of ai continue to improve, and all the goalposts of what ai should/shouldn't be

it's actually crazy to me how fast the Fractal Boston crew pulled this semester off. They basically sprinted for a couple weeks and put together one of the sickest semesters I've seen. You can just start a university with your friends, lol.
