Biggest hail I measured was 2.25”, 5 minutes after the hail fall ended. Likely just under baseball size was falling.

Can I expect this again in the future? Should I avoid your airline? Thinking about it! (3/3)

and it is required due to medical issues (past DVT, and I'm 6'5"). They found me another E+ seat on the aisle, but had grabbed it from another customer! WTH United? Apparently, you know how to take a reservation but don't know how to HOLD a reservation! (2/3)

Yesterday, @united Airlines literally gave away my *reserved* Economy Plus window seat to someone in line in front of me and exchanged it for a regular Economy seat in the last row by the toilets! I *paid extra* for my seat choice, (1/3)

The deluge continues. This may be close to a 24-hr record breaker (20ish years) for my home wx station if my manual gauge confers.

It's the 35th anniversary of my first TX tornado (rural Wilbarger County), and my first tornado after moving to Oklahoma. No radar data, no internet, no cell phones.

@AngelAndHisWx On Day 2, we visited SW OKC and Moore. Then I spent 1-2 weeks documenting our data. This is the damage survey publication. https://t.co/UiTwTU1nDH 7/7

@AngelAndHisWx I spent the next few days surveying the damage in the field. On Day 1, LaDue and I surveyed the Bridge Creek area where we easily verified F5 damage, and saw the worst vegetation and ground scouring of my surveying career (2nd worst was 5/24/11 NE of Chickasha). 6/7

@AngelAndHisWx We had NO internet in the car, therefore no radar data. Our positioning was all based on visuals and the information we could hear on HAM radio. We saw 13 tornadoes from both storms combined. 5/7
