Voilà une profession d'avenir : #devendeur 😘 La prise en compte de l'urgence climatique ne passera pas par la mise en marché de produits résultants du techno-solutionnisme vert, mais par la génération du besoin du NON besoin ! @ademe https://t.co/bomtcwzlnV

Inria offer chargé de recherche positions. Inria researchers and engineers join forces in a small team to tackle a grand challenge over a 10 year horizon. Our long term goal is to understand how to better engineer microbial systems by combining wet and dry biology approaches.

Note that a similar approach used by the @KhammashLab to optimize the overall production (ie, secretion and growth) of secreted amylase in a 1L reactor has also been published recantly.

Secretory burnout state: we observed that a subset of cells accumulate huge amounts of the protein to secrete, stop growing, and have high ER-associated stress. #bioproduction, #synbio

High-throughput: we used a turbidostat-based platform with automated cytometry and magnetic immuno-beads to analyze secretion for a collection of 6 hard-to-secrete proteins. #labautomation #optogenetics

Sebas' paper has just been published in @NatureComms! We report a strategy for optimizing protein production in which induction is dynamically adjusted based on the current stress of the cells to avoid the appearance of "burnt-out" cells. https://t.co/sPUIAlBEi8 More below👇🏼

Lastly, we show ReacSight's genericity by constructing a platereader-based platform. We connect a Spark platereader with an Opentrons robot and use it to either create a "mini-turbidostat" or investigate the effect of repeated antimicrobial treatments on E. coli clinical isolates

We also create a two-strain consortia and control its composition by playing with the OD, and hence with the histidine availability.
