Today we invited NHS staff to the restaurant to help themselves to our left over stock- we had some fresh produce, a few feta filo pies and mushroom wellingtons as well as a few desserts. Some of these wonderful people tried to pay us for what they took - I’m in bits again 😭

Lots of guests tonight using gift vouchers they bought for themselves during lockdown. Honestly, this is what kept the team paid and us afloat while we waited for local government grants and furlough payments in those dark early days. We can't thank you enough xx

As a rule I don’t usually comment on or talk about customers but I served the most lovely lady last night with coeliac disease and it’s stuck with me. She was so overwhelmed by the gluten free choices we have and felt truly safe with them. Inclusive menus are so important!

Today we’ll be redesigning the restaurant floor plan. No option other than to go with the 2m distancing. We are 23 days away from reopening but haven’t been given any specifics apart from that. We are hoping to have remote ordering and payment system in place by then.
