the sins of Fallen Kingdom and Dominion are many, but none so egregious as JW1. the overall script tries to be competent despite compulsions for its characters to constantly behave in bizarre, stupid ways. very unserious. And it’s aggressively sexist. The worst of its trilogy.

not in 32 years have i missed a Jurassic movie in a theater, won’t be starting with Rebirth, which we are catching today. stoked, if only because i have been able to take the other World films at face value. visual junk food from a series that long ago abandoned solemnity.

as far as bands with truncated discographies go, i don't think there is a greater disparity between my love for ABACABB's demos and Survivalist. band went from, imo, being something special to standard issue, down to the yucky pristine production and boring vox.
