Finished up a little project! Custom ergonomic keyboard. Ergogen for the layout, kicad for the PCB, QMK for the firmware, fusion360 for the 3D printed case. Choc robin switches, rp2040 uc. Aimed for small, with a low profile so I don't need a wrist rest and it's easy to pack-up.

"Read the room" is not advice for being right. It's advice for being popular. So when people give it, they're also implicitly telling us which they think is more important.
