“Don’t train until you get it right, train until you can’t get it wrong” Truck 2 and Engine 5482 worked on commercial vertical ventilation recently. Vertical ventilation removes heat, smoke and toxic gases making the interior more tenable for victims and interior crews.

Battalion 1, Engine 2 (E2), E5482, E84, Water Tender 88 and Cal Fire responded to a vegetation fire on Hwy 20 at Uren Street. The fire was contained at .25 acres and the highway has reopened.

On Monday, the shared administrative services agreement between the Grass Valley Fire Department and the Nevada City Fire Department began. This will increase the service we deliver to our communities through an increase in department cooperation and efficiency.
