Whether you come once in a while, or parkrun for Wales, it's fantastic to have you as part of our event. Be fun to see some Porthcawl 10k tees from previous years ahead of this year's race - hope everyone going on Sunday has a great time.

Hot conditions and high pollen are expected during this week's event. Please consider bringing water to have afterwards, or even carry round with you. Rainbow colours are very welcome, this and any other Saturday. We also look forward to seeing the new Barry Island 10k top.

International Day of Conscience, a time we could think about all the different perspectives there are on parkrun, in our local community and beyond. Come along and tell us about your reason to run.

Volunteers from the community are offering to pace odd numbered minutes from 19 to 43 this week. Chase a pace, or not, as you wish. Sunglasses suggested. Clear skies are forecast, and there's due to be a partial solar eclipse about 10am.

As it's the 22nd, there'll be a few tutus taking part. We think parkrun is best with a bit of parkfun, if you agree come along and be part of it? Tutus are very much optional!. Enjoy completing 5k with our community and/or helping to make the event happen.

Last week featured a very keen "lead dog" for part of the event. A four-legged friend can join you on a short, handheld, non-extendable lead. It's going to be another chilly one - consider an extra layer (unless you've got a fur coat), hats, gloves, etc.

Any ideas how we can celebrate an unofficial milestone? It'll be the 400th edition of Grangemoor parkrun today. If you've got a milestone top that could work in combination with others, maybe you could pose for a pic?. Join us in the start area by 8.55 please!

Do you #loveparkrun? Show it at the first of this year's love themed events, for St Dwynwen's Day. Suggestion is to wear some pink or red. Also fine not to! Either way, consider gloves, an extra layer, and a coat or change of clothes for afterwards - expected to be quite cold.
