Guys and gals in post production — What are your biggest pain points in your work flow? What are the things that irk you that aren’t currently solved by any tools available to you?

We recently updated our machine and it has quadrupled our efficiency. This is our setup: AMD Ryzen 9 CPU 128GB RAM NVIDIA GTX 5070 Ti Water Cooling Has anyone else recently upgraded and been flabbergasted as to why they didn't do it sooner?

What are you all working on at the moment?

The fall of physical media makes us very very sad :( Soooo many Blu Rays are impossible to find these days

What is one piece of filmmaking gear you can't live without?

Edit: it turns out this peak really doesn’t actually look like the Matterhorn at all. #notthematterhorn

On our recent shoot in Rolle, Switzerland, we spent a fair amount of time (around 20 minutes) convinced this might be the Matterhorn.. It turns out most peaks in the alps can look like the Matterhorn from certain angles. Was a lovely wholesome 20 mins whilst it lasted though

- write, shoot and star in the project yourself Play to your strengths. Not good in front of the camera? Think outside the box and create something experimental; not every film needs a human character on-screen.

- set aside an hour a day to chip away at the project. Dedicate this time to deep-focus work, turn off all distractions. You'll be surprised what you are able to achieve in this time. ⚡️

- use what you have the phone in your pocket can shoot better footage than a camera costing £1000 just 15 years ago 📱

It's easy to find excuses not to pursue that passion project - no money 💰 - no time ⏰ - no-one to collaborate with 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 and there's a counter argument to every single one..
