My hands-on experience with the CYCPLUS L7 doesn't match the many reviews already published about this device. 🤷🏻♂️. In short: It's an easy DO NOT BUY on this one.

In follow up. I've just returned from a test of the CYCPLUS L7 cycling radar. Initial Results: .- A number of false positives. (Repeatable) .- Narrow detection angle. - Strange detect-clear-detect on some threats. - All 46 minutes captured front/back in 4K video.

A lot of companies want to jump on the popularity of the Varia range. And for good reason, they're a highly rated product. If their radar performs just as well as a Varia - Excellent. Most don't.

Reviewing cycling radars has been such an interesting project. Radars that work, just work. End of story. Radars that don't work very well come with so much overhead. Excuses. Updates (that usually don't work). Fake reviews/comments. Promises of future updates.

"Additionally, I noticed that your R300 appears to be damaged—the circular radar indicator has been shattered, and the black tape wrapped around the circular light could also be affecting the radar’s performance.". It's not shattered. The tape will have no impact on the radar.

"After discussed with my team, they prefer advertisement style review.". After multiple emails, Cybersight (who make Zenith HUD Glasses) pulled an interesting list of requirements for a "technical" review. Media/test unit no longer being sent my way. 🤷🏻♂️ . ffs. 🚮.
