After two years, 220 screens, and 120,000 lines of javascript, we're moving away from React Native at Airbnb. I tried to summarize our experience in a single blog post but that wouldn't do it justice so it turned into five! https://t.co/B8yDzcocAy

In 2016, we took a big bet on React Native. Two years later, we’re ready to share our experience with the world and show what’s next.

New episode in our Codex series: the IDE extension! 🎬 This time, I’m joined by @gpeal8, lead on this project. Watch us explore code, build new features, prototype front-end designs, and seamlessly hand off tasks between the editor and Codex in the cloud. https://t.co/vAAPYXAWj8

It has been an incredible sprint working with the Codex team to make this happen. Codex is now in your IDE and the CLI has gotten so so much better. We're just getting started. So much more to come.
We’re releasing new Codex features to make it a more effective coding collaborator: - A new IDE extension - Easily move tasks between the cloud and your local environment - Code reviews in GitHub - Revamped Codex CLI Powered by GPT-5 and available through your ChatGPT plan.

Here is an example of where Cursor (VS Code) falls short: https://t.co/qRcx4K32X4

Testing #156002 It seems like the terminal recent command fuzzy search wants to find fuzzy matches in different words only, if the matches are in the same word it ignores them. For example, have a ...

The divide between Cursor and Jetbrains IDEs is so frustrating. Jetbrains nails the core IDE experience (indexing, refactoring, debugging, etc) Cursor nails tab complete and has a better Agent. I find myself bouncing between them more than ever.

You all code a lot! We were able to make a big bump to Pro rate limits, and a smaller one for Plus/Team 📈 Also fixed various bugs including the one preventing Team users from logging in. Planning in-app info on limits next week. Keep the feedback coming 🙏
Lots of excitement about GPT-5 in Codex CLI via your ChatGPT plan. Some details: 1. Yes, if you sign in with ChatGPT, usage is included via your paid plan! 2. Still determining exact rate limits, but the goal is to be generous: -- Pro users should basically not hit limits

We’re rolling out a few updates to Codex today: 1. Codex is rolling out to ChatGPT Plus users today. It includes generous usage limits for a limited time, but during periods of high demand, we might set rate limits for Plus users so that Codex remains widely available.

This is the way to use Codex. For me, it doesn't work as a drop in replacement for Cursor Agent or Codex CLI. It works best when you asynchronously kick off a ton of tasks which serve as starting points for things you aren't ready to start yet.
codex is crazy, been using it as a todo list. Instead of adding my tasks to a list, I just send them straight to codex, and merge them in later. Done > 200 tasks like this

🤯 i've 30x - 50x increased my productivity since getting access to OpenAI Codex this is not an exaggeration. you can look at my public GitHub profile >>> here is my workflow: 1. create tasks with @TaskmasterAI 2. use a 'project' in ChatGPT that has relevant files and use

Last 24h of Codex fixes before the team heads into a much needed post-launch long weekend. Send me your bugs and requests and we can try to get anything very broken or small in!

I’ve been using Codex in early access, and it feels like software engineering will be radically different in a year or so. The big mental shift for me is moving from AI pair programming (in Cursor) to running multiple async/remote tasks in parallel...
today we are introducing codex. it is a software engineering agent that runs in the cloud and does tasks for you, like writing a new feature of fixing a bug. you can run many tasks in parallel.

We've had the chance to use Codex for the last few weeks at @WorkWhileJobs. TL;DR: it's a wonderful tool (also the new paradigm takes a little getting used to to get the most out of it) A few observations and tips: The model under the hood seems really good The underlying

I'm really excited to launch what I've been working on! At 1am last night, we threw a really tricky problem that we had been stuck on for hours at it and it found it in 5 minutes. Once you get access, give it a shot and feel free to send me feedback.
