This old ex-library paperback of Scorpius was the first #JamesBond book I owned. I'm rereading it now for the first time since high school, inspired by the release of James Bond After Fleming by @MarkEdlitz. The continuation novels were where my literary Bond adventure started.

This definitely belongs on my bookshelf. I've always had a fascination with the continuation novels of Bond...after all, I was reading @RaymondBenson and @johngardnercom novels before I ever got my hands on a Fleming book.
🕵️🤌 Fantastic news for Literary Bond fans! Author @MarkEdlitz will release 'JAMES BOND - AFTER FLEMING' later this month, charting all continuation novels and authors over the last 50+ years! Here's the stunning cover art by @ThatTallGinger

Answering the call of @Mark0Connell to share my #topthreebonds from Ian Fleming's brilliant 007 novels. I love these three and their beautiful Pan paperback covers. Casino Royale, Live And Let Die and On Her Majesty's are unlucky to miss out on the top 3. #70yearsof007

My most watched actor and director of 2021...Mitchum and Leigh. I wouldn't have guessed that, but I suppose stats don't lie. And I'm quite happy with those two to be honest. #LetterboxdWrapped

Day 20 of #20DaysOfNoirvember, of which my participation has been unfortunately sporadic but great fun nonetheless. Favourite film noir: It had to be Double Indemnity. It's come up several times in my #Noirvember posts, and Billy Wilder's noir masterpiece is my clear favourite.

#20DaysofNoirvember Day 13, favourite Columbia noir. The Big Heat. A great noir that stands out in my mind largely due to Gloria Grahame's memorable performance, and the violence inflicted on her by Lee Marvin. #Noirvember #FilmNoir

#20DaysofNoirvember Day 11, favourite Western Noir. Nicholas Ray's Johnny Guitar (1954) It was the first film that made me think that Western Noir was a thing, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is definitely due for a rewatch soon. #Noirvember #Western

#20DaysOfNoirvember Day 5: Noir film with the best cinematography. I have to go back to the film that started my love for this style of filmmaking, The Third Man and Robert Krasker's gorgeous, stylishly angled, shadowy compositions.
