She paused her eating to kiss his cheek. "Thank you." For Shoko that meant a lot, she cared so much about him that she definitely appreciated that he was being more careful now that they were together.

“i was careful not to get hurt!” or as careful as he could be . . . he often forgot about his own personal safety during missions, or really anything — even skateboarding.
"I'm glad." She smiled and kept eating. Hearing the mission was easy and he didn't get hurt eased her. Having him leave like that knowing she wouldn't be near to heal him was always nerve-wracking for her.
