Now reports of a Swedish journalist detained in Turkey. It continues.
Swedish journalist Joakim Medin has been detained in Turkey after arriving in Istanbul on Thursday to report on the protests. We do not as yet know where or how he is, and are imploring the Swedish government to take action to help get Joakim home.

Earlier today, Turkish authorities deported BBC correspondent Mark Lowen, who was here to report on the ongoing protests. Mark was taken from his hotel and detained for 17 hours, before being deported for “being a threat to public order” BBC statement
