Earli’s Chief Scientific Officer @davidsuhy has an amazing story to tell. He built a team of top scientists with me at @goearli to “turn cancer against itself” by designing genetic sequences that *force* it to reveal, and ultimately also kill, itself.

3/3 You used to be truly outstanding in service and mindset. Is that @lufthansa still there? This current level is sad, and can’t be where you want to be. @AngelManzo

2/3 Two-hours long lines at the “service” center. LH’s own virtual chat software kept breaking down (train ticket replacement - didn’t work). Ten hours later, we made it to Munich via train with 3 little kids, only to leave in two days. Zero luggage, we have nothing. @lufthansa?

1/3 @lufthansa used to be great - I have flown millions of miles with them. But now? Yesterday on LH455 SFO-FRA, they checked all carry-ons of our 5-ppl family b/c the flight was overfull, then canceled connection LH106 to MUC, lost all our 7 suitcases, offered no other flight.

Earli's story is now featured in WIRED magazine! It may be hard to believe, but it's true: Early detection is the *single biggest* lever to increase cancer survival rates - more than any treatment. Earli is getting closer to this moonshot. https://t.co/bbONO5D8F7 #cancer #vc #bio

Synthetic biomarkers are gene therapy + liquid biopsy with potential for precision localization and treatment. Very excited about potential for @goearli and proud to support work of @cyriac1 @davidsuhy @GambhirLab. Congrats on great Series A today!

This is how Earli works: Rather than rely on biomarkers that cancer may - or may not - naturally provide, Earli’s technology *forces* cancer cells to make a synthetic, non-human bio marker. A Synthetic Biopsy. Completely new technology. @goearli @cancer_network @BidenCancer

1/ Engineered biology (like cell + gene therapy) is a powerful tool for TREATING disease. What if biology could be engineered to FIND disease too? In 2018 I met @Cyriac1 Roeding & Sam Ghambir, a pioneer in early cancer detection. Their company, Earli, proposed to do just that.
