This ended with a bit of a ramble, but I have no doubt we are entering a period of disruption to white-collar work and have no clear idea about what those displayed by technology will do to earn a living. Proof of this is in the hundreds of roles already displayed by automation.

You can't just get another job doing what you've been trained in... and you've not got a union to force employers to treat you like a human with rights that need protection.

These aren't roles that can be explained away as low-hanging fruit that will free staff up to work on other things. If you're a copywriter, well, that's your whole job gone!

Now that "middle class", white-collar roles are starting to be effect by the efficiencies of technology, people are taking notice.

How much of our day now is allocated to working for these organisations for free?

Why am I being forced to do something for them when it's their job to do it in the first place.
