@WANEPNigeria @WomenPeaceSec 🏔️ Resource-Related Issues → Land grabbing, oil spills, flooding, & gas flaring. Recommendations: enforce legal frameworks, build public-private partnerships, and strengthen advocacy with Ministries, CSOs, & UN-Habitat.

@WANEPNigeria @WomenPeaceSec On Day 3️⃣, participants drafted a SAP framework through action matrices: ⛑️ Insecurity & Protection → Youth ambassadors for #WPS, advocacy to State House, sensitizing private hospitals, & adding civic responsibility to curricula.

@WANEPNigeria @WomenPeaceSec Working groups flagged major issues in Lagos State🚫: women & girls’ trafficking, and drug abuse/trafficking. Recommendations included: 🗣️ Roundtables 🤝 Advocacy visits 📑 State Action Plan (SAP) deliberations

@WANEPNigeria @WomenPeaceSec On Day 2️⃣, participants analyzed gender perceptions in security and reviewed the evolution of Nigeria’s NAP, noting its 4-pillar structure. They also identified institutional coordination challenges and highlighted key achievements ✅ such as NSCDC gender policies.

@WANEPNigeria @WomenPeaceSec Participants mapped peacebuilding structures: 🔹 Traditional structures: Baale in Council, Chief in Council 🔹 State structures: Office of the Public Defender, Police Family Support Units 🔹 Religious structures: churches, mosques, Imams
