One of the most inspiring things myself and @_Padio have learnt is to invest in people because “people” are our most appreciable asset!

I’m grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey Especially @gnadudarko, we’ve been through hell 😂 I came shy, left confident I came without connections, left with many I came without experience I left experienced I hope this justifies my bio 😅 Thank you GOD!

I got lots of opportunities to grow, I learnt lots of skills I have taught over 50 people graphic design meanwhile I learnt it in 2023. When I look back, I smile I don’t regret my choices, and I’m looking forward to a future with numerous opportunities

I added ALX Data Science to all the busy schedules 😂 If you’ve ever taken a course on ALX you’ll understand how demanding it is I became used to my new way (not attending lectures 😂) and I almost forgot I was in school to get a degree in Chemical Engineering.

I became more intentional about how I lived on campus, I attended conferences, seminars, webinars, etc. I approached industry professionals, suggested some things to them to seek guidance, etc.

I got connected to all the alumni who joined the space and that was when I realized this 100 skills x 0 visibility = 0 opportunities You can be the best in whatever you do but if you are not visible, you wouldn’t get any opportunity 👍🏾

So when you are voted into power, your tenure of office begins the next year (3rd year in my case) In view of this, we decided to bridge the gap between industry and academia by introducing "CHEMEDGE” where we brought mostly alumni from our department to have a word with us.

I had to do all that at the expense of my academics😂 I barely attended lectures and I was busy 80% of the time doing other things I had to use all my Saturdays for teaching I could stand from morning (8am to 6pm) without eating just so I can teach all the courses.

We taught these courses, "Python Programming, Front End and Backend Web Development, Graphic Designing” Sometimes the instructors @pkwolffe (Python instructor) gets busy. Meaning I had to learn everything so I can teach when they are not available

The resources were not enough but we managed to do a lot of impactful projects We wanted to do something that everyone or majority would benefit from So we thought of a skill training dubbed "CODETRAIN” to teach skills that are in high demand
