“Snow Camp was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done” 🤩🎿. Over 25 young people from Tameside care experience groups, Beeing Together programme and Bolton care experience group have had a great time at Chill Factore taking part in Snow Camp ⛷️ ❄️ 🏂

Our Tameside care-experienced 16-25 year olds have been able to develop their skills recently with some training courses 👏. These include Food Hygiene Level 2, Emergency First Aid at Work and they took part in a 3 day DIY course for care leavers funded by GMI Construction 🚧 ⛑️

We've had a great time getting out in nature! 👣 🍁 🛶 . Our Tameside care-experienced 16-25 year olds have been very active recently. We went for a walk around Dovestone reservoir, kayaking on Droylsden canal and went of a walk around Daisy Nook Country Park 🥾 🚣

During August our Tameside care-experienced young people aged 16-25 got to visit Valley Farm in Daisy Nook Park 🌼 🚜 . The sessions included fire making, den building, string making, making bread and cooking this on the fire, toasting marshmallows and making S’mores and more! 🐑

Our Tameside care-experienced 16-25 year olds had lots of fun over the summer! 🥘 🎳 . There was a trip to Food Sorcery Cooking School in Didsbury where we made Gyoza and Nasi goring, and we had a trip to Hollywood Bowl in Ashton 🍜 🧑‍🍳

We've been looking back at what our Mcr Social young people got up to over the summer . 🧗 🌴 🖌️ . There were lots of sessions over the summer holidays, including a trip to the climbing centre, making sculptures at Clay Studio and having an explore in the treetops at Zip World!

Our care-experienced 16-25 Salford group and the young people from our Beeing Together programme had a lovely day at the RHS Bridgewater gardens!🦋🌱. We had a wonderful time exploring the gardens and learning about new plants and insects in the sun 🐛🌞

Our Mcr Social group have been very busy over the summer! 🍿 🎮 . We've had an exciting few weeks going bowling at DogBowl, going to the cinema at HOME, playing lots of games in an arcade and going to Pixel Bar for more video games 👾 🎳

Our Tameside care experience young people aged 10-16 have done some brilliant activities over the summer! ⛰️ 🌱 🍳 . These include a gardening project with the Leap Centre, and escape room in Ashton, Food Sorcery cooking course, pottery painting, and a Peaks Adventure Day 🚣 🎨

Our Be Well group have been busy gardening 🌺. One of the services we provide at GMYN is wellbeing and mental health support. Our Be Well programme provides emotional wellbeing support, life skills activities, volunteering and social action projects such as the gardening 🌱

We've had another brilliant time at the Langley Cornerstone Community Centre in Salford with our care experienced young people 🌞. We spent some time shifting soil into the different planters, planting the flower beds and continuing to paint the mural 🎨 . #GMYN #YoungPeopleCan
