Summer read: The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt c.2024 is hard to put down. Came highly recommended passing it on to my teacher friends. 📚

Reading with a student outside today and this happened! He had never seen baby ducks before (grade 5). Sound on for his observations. I believe in college in the 90’s I was taught that this is called a “teachable moment” and it’s for sure, the best kind. 🦆#NRinspiregreat

S’s practiced their science presentations with some extra time we had in class today. Bioluminescence was the topic. There were many multisyllabic words in their presentations. One S said to another who was having a tough time:
