i'm sucking on the medical prescription given by the wizard. it's a tablet mostly of rock salt with some palm sugar. the purpose is to make my gums bleed. it's working.

not being boiling you can't do blood-letting, you have to get it vigorously moving, hence aggravating my gums with salt, and it will self-correct in amount by oozing.

my gums need to bleed because my diagnosis is "too much blood, not boiling but stagnant, which being too much, pushes against itself and is turbulent". this feels accurate to me.
