Australia is awash with policies, but not the kind that would fix the workforce crisis. Here's what would work instead. @globalstopp @jcu @QUT

Our study shows: 81% of Australia's federal HWF policies are time-limited grants & programs, not long-term strategies. W/out national coordination, workforce planning stays fragmented & patients feel the gaps. https://t.co/b2dnbYUVZc

🧵Australia’s #healthworkforce is under strain: long waits, staff burnout, big gaps in rural care. Calls for a national plan and a national body keep resurfacing — but why? https://t.co/0B923O5daR

This is ecocide. Governments and banks massively subsidise and finance oil and AI companies to pollute and destroy our children’s future yet fail to invest anything like it in renewable energy. Insane. We’re heading for 2 degrees in ten years and mass migration worldwide.
From North Carolina to Nepal, climate change isn’t just a tragedy, it’s a crime. Exxon knew in the 70s that the burning of fossil fuels would destabilize the climate, but they lied about it to protect their $$$. Time to pay for the damage they've caused. #ActOnClimate

"There is nothing magical about health systems resilience – it requires strength in traditional health systems dimensions such as in workforce, financing, supply chains, data systems and governance, which requires sufficient investment in basic health systems functions."
