letting them improvise this literally was a directorial touch, and a great one. and he deadass fought universal to be able to keep that scene. jon is the reason we even have it in the movie to begin with.

Iām glad that they changed glindaās ātaking things that donāt belong to usā line was changed to be in response to elphie saying something about her taking nessaās shoes. it makes the line better and confirms that glinda probably gave dorothy the shoes entirely out of spite.
