An lastly I tried Hauntii. Love the monochrome art style and the idea that you ‚possess‘ objects and enemies. A little like Paradroid back in the day. Didn’t stick with it though after turning into 100 trees and collecting a dozen hats. Let me know if I missed something!

Animal Well is a lovely tribute to bizarre 8bit platformers like Jet Set Willy and Monty On The Run. Instead of dashes, double jumps and attack combos you collect toys like a frisbee, a yo-yo and a spinning top to traverse the environment and discover its plethora of secrets.

The Invincible is a SF story game and prequel to Stanislav Lem‘s novel. It reminded me of Firewatch with much of the narrative developed in dialogue with an invisible person on the radio. The planet you‘re stranded on looks lovely, and the writing is not bad. For SF and Lem fans.

Chants of Senaar: really loved this - very smart adventure game about translating languages in a tower of Babel setting. Clues come from talking to the tower’s inhabitants, reading signs, solving puzzles and the occasional rosetta stone. Killer art style, sweet story, great game.

Brought home a summer flu from Tresor with Moodymann, so I got to play some new indie games in between naps. Here‘s what I liked…
