That really clicked with me and I feel it's the breakthrough I needed. Though I am physical when I record for videogames, I've been focusing too hard on timing with ADR. Dubbing is such a unique challenge - timing AND acting. Thank you for the guidance!🥰🌟.

Thank you @EliseBaughman for the fantastic class tonight! Something that connected for me was to physically act out the scene when I'm in studio. Instead of nervously focusing on the lip flaps (which was stifling my performance) think of it like stage and ACT with my whole body❤️.

And I've finally come full circle to the moment that sparked it all. I love anime, but I also love all the other incredible things I've been blessed to be a part of in voice over. I have so much respect for the actors who are able to perform in this medium and I will do my best.

I said, "Ha! Do you have any idea how hard it is to get into anime, and how skilled you would have to be as an actor? That's an impossible dream." But it planted a seed in my mind. Voiceover? Maybe. I could do it. It sparked an incredible, challenging, fulfilling 8 year journey.
