My new collection of 10 paintings is called Flit. I’ve hung them in the atrium space at the studio. HD 9k Reality Experience Session available by appointment. The mornings particularly nice light ;)

It’s called an iPod. It doesn’t need a 3/4/5g signal or any mobile data at all. It also doesn’t depend on a subscription. You can listen to podcasts in the park, or anywhere really. Radical action!!

So I’ve uploaded all 10 of my new paintings to my grid, and it looks great. 3x3 is a more appropriate scale for actually seeing an image. Take a look do you like it?.

With these segments I experimented making mini 30second videos on my phone for my instagram stories. Fast cut between the distorted squares with ambient music I generated online. The process was creating bonus work.

These segments are also 40% scaled up causing a loss in resolution. Not an issue when viewing the larger grid, and I feel better about not feeding the machine again. The loss of resolution has a visual effect I’m not opposed too.

On the phone the instagram grid is 3 squares across. I’ve been dividing my images to fit a 3x3 square format. Each post is now just a segment of the final image. So I care less about giving my art to the machine, its just bits.

Sharing your art on platforms is all sorts of problematic for artists. I’ve just found a new peace with it, my terms, anti-algorithm, possible liberation?.

And yes I’m aware of the ratchet resolution. I’m embracing it. If the upload gets trash compressed then I’ll upload trash compressed and see where we go. It’s now art.

I’m enjoying making these little videos with the grid images from my instagram profile. I’m using AI music generation tools to add audio vibe.

I always end up editing blog posts after they go up. Why I need to read it live to see the edits 🤷 Anyway maybe things get cut, always more goes in. Read v.1 today….

Probably the most used tool in the studio. Have to congratulate @Festool on the repair service. After 4yrs constant use, it developed a fault. I sent it in for reps and was fixed and back in the studio within a week. Well impressed!

Got to the end of the album which turns out isn’t the end. My old copy never played the last couple tracks, so I’ve never heard the last 3 songs. This is not the end. .

Sunday morning studio jams. Finally got this Blind Melon album, it cost less than the cinnamon bun.
