Shout out to English Heritage this morning. MrsL and I are members and went, with family, to visit Framlingham Castle. Both of us with 4 children and also two adults, as guests because it is half term, were all free. Amazing! Thank you EH. (National Trust….are you listening?!)

“The National Youth Choir of Northern Ireland has announced it will close after losing all its Arts Council funding.” For heaven’s sake, will someone get a cultural grip and stop this madness! I despair…….

Found this organ book on my shelf so brought it along to play before a Thanksgiving service at Aldeburgh church this afternoon. Totally surprised to see a date the last time this piece was played. Here I am playing it 75 years later !!

Beccles Choral Society rehearsal tonight. In a break from our Mozart preparations for a concert on Saturday 17th May, 7pm, at St Michael’s Beccles, this evening we are going to sing through an abbreviated version of Wagner’s “Ring”. It will be an unbelievable experience.
