not my fault there was a shit ton of racism and conservatism in weimar germany and the only people I see mention it are the ones that make weimar be the nazi..... I like nuancing it up

as the deeply conservative social atmosphere that led to everything that came after. I don't doubt that it's hard reconciling the two, shit I haven't even chosen how I'm going to portray Weimar myself, but I think that would just be one of the more interesting paths to follow.

but I don't think it's necessarily fair either to portray them as just a blip of preceding bigotry before the Nazi era. Personally, it's best to acknowledge both the progressive achievements in certain parts of Weimar's society (which no doubt would shape the character) as well -
